St. John’s sends out disciples to minister to fellow parishioners as “Friends in Christ Helping Friends in Christ”, specifically to encourage and support each other to achieve and maintain health of mind, body, spirit, and community through all stages of life.
Meal Ministry: This ministry takes the love of St. John’s to individuals or families in crisis by furnishing one or more meals. Nancy Joyner -
Clergy Care: It is the intention of this Parish Health program to provide assistance and support to ensure the strength and wellness of mind, body and spirit for those who minister to the congregation.
Care Team Ministry: The Care Team Ministry is committed to providing practical assistance and emotional support to members of the congregation who need a helping hand while they are dealing with short or long term illness.
Walking the Mourner’s Path: Walking the Mourner’s Path helps group members’ work on specific issues related to grief.
Eucharistic Visitors: Bring the Blessed Sacraments (Holy Communion) to members of the parish family who because of illness or other pastoral concern cannot be present for Sunday worship. Taking communion to them is how we affirm their place in the larger Body of Christ.
